THE 36TH JAPAN CATHOLIC FILM AWARD CEREMONY HELD WITH FULL AUDIENCE

SIGNIS JAPAN held the 36th Japan Catholic Film Award Ceremony in Kawasaki on May 12.  The Award was presented to Directress Mami Sunada for her first film, “Death of a Japanese Salesman”(Japanese title; “Ending Note”).  At the ceremony, SIGNIS JAPAN President Director Shigeki Chiba said that he was happy to congratulate the Catholic directress. Fr. Haresaku commented that this film clearly shows us the meaning of life and death and love is eternal, and that it also encourages us all.  He concluded his speech by his powerful prayer to our Heavenly Father, source of life.  After the ceremony, there was film-screening, followed by a talk between Directress Sunada and Fr. Haresaku.
